Registration near 80% and district reports full staffing; teacher induction and keynote planned

Dr. Seggert told trustees the district has held two registration dates and planned a makeup registration day for Friday, Aug. 7; "we're actually at close to 80% of our families registered," she said, and staff noted historical patterns toward roughly 95% registered by the first day of school.

Leadership also reported the district is fully staffed for the coming year and previewed onboarding plans: three days of new‑teacher induction with two dedicated professional‑development days focused on Infinite Campus and the new K–8 ELA curriculum, Kagan training led by in‑district national trainers, and the Maroon Express trolley orientation that tours schools. The district also announced an institute day on Aug. 13 with keynote speaker Coach Ken Carter and a family event the night before. Trustees welcomed the staffing news and thanked operations staff for keeping summer projects on time and on budget.
