The court accepted and approved an affidavit and the treasurer's May 2026 monthly cash-and-investment report, which showed local cash and other assets in the treasurer's custody of $207,198,967.69. The affidavit will be published with the report on the Brazoria County website as required by local government code.
Voya Financial representatives Sherry Corner and Darryl Ellisor briefed the court on the county's retirement plans following a transition from OneAmerica. Corner said full-time plan assets were about $162,000,000 and noted $6,000,000 in contributions and $7,000,000 in investment earnings for the reporting period; the plan had roughly 3,000 participants at the end of June 2026. Ellisor reviewed market context, fund-scoring procedures and noted one fund placed on a watch list and a new retirement-income tool for participants 50 and older.
