Ramsey County says community outreach reached 656 respondents in four languages

Public health staff described a mixed outreach approach that produced 656 survey responses between Sept. 3 and Oct. 27, with 65+ staff hours spent administering in‑person surveys at 10 county locations. "Community was elated to participate," one presenter said, noting in‑person respondents received a $10 gift card and conversation participants received $30.

Staff said the survey used a convenience sample and that demographic details were optional, so the dataset is not representative for statistical analysis; the engagement emphasized breadth and qualitative input through nine partner organizations and community conversations hosted at libraries, rec centers, and clinics. Promotion included the county website, targeted emails, social media in four languages, and trusted messenger partners.
