Palo Alto County adopts Title VI plan, DOT assurances for 2026

On Jan. 2, 2026, the Palo Alto County Board of Supervisors adopted a package of Title VI-related documents and assurances required for continued federal and state transportation funding. The board adopted the county’s Title VI Plan, the Standard DOT Title VI Assurances, and a public Title VI notice to be posted in county offices and on the county website; the auditor was designated as Title VI coordinator for secondary roads.

The packet of documents was presented as part of several related resolutions, including a right-of-way assurance statement that cites the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Land Acquisition Policies Act and the county’s policy to comply with applicable state laws. The board approved the documents and authorized signatures necessary for compliance with federal and Iowa Department of Transportation requirements.
