Local activist urges more resources to fight child trafficking in Collin County

Samuel Hall, founder and president of United Patriots for America, used the public-comment period to urge Collin County to dedicate more resources to combating child trafficking and online exploitation. He described a local initiative to teach students in McKinney ISD to recognize online grooming and said his group conducts cyber investigations that identify suspected predators.

"We identify anywhere from 24 up to 50 child predators a month that are trying to lure, groom, and **** children online," Hall said, adding the county lacks sufficient deputies to respond to every incident and asking the court to consider additional budgeting for resources. The court did not record an immediate response or directive beyond thanking Hall and noting the comment. Hall also referenced coordination with the county's ICAC division and recent incidents where backup law enforcement came from neighboring jurisdictions.
