Beaux Arts Council approves proceeding with Bellevue water-line contractor; low bid $199,000

Town Engineer Stacia Schroeder told the council that the City of Bellevue received bids for a water-line project that runs through Beaux Arts and that the town had five days to decide whether to proceed concurrently. The low bid was from D&G Backhoe at $199,000 plus tax; Schroeder said that would leave just over $80,000 for contingencies. Councilmember Stacy Saal moved to approve the low bidder; Councilmember Tom Stowe seconded. The motion passed 4 For, 0 Against, 0 Abstain.

Councilmembers said the bids were competitive and that they received good recommendations for D&G Backhoe. The council instructed staff to prepare notice to Villagers about the planned work after the City of Bellevue finalizes its approval and scheduling.
