Carroll County jail superintendent seeks up to $25,000 from inmate funds for outdoor exercise equipment

King said the proposal would use funds derived from commissary processing fees that are held in a separate, interest‑bearing account and may be used only for inmate benefit. The written vendor quote from Outdoor‑Fit lists an Apollo Multi‑Gym and freight at $17,975; Superintendent King said separate installation quotes for the pad are being solicited. The equipment vendor documentation in the packet lists a 25‑year limited structural warranty and a 2‑year warranty on moving parts.
