Commissioners opt to take $30,715 Primex surplus as refund rather than credit

The board voted to accept the Primex return of surplus as a refund rather than leave it as a credit on the county account. Executive Director Mellisa Seamans presented the Primex correspondence noting a $1,897 Unemployment Compensation return and a $28,818 Workers’ Compensation return; the combined amount reported in the meeting packet is $30,715.

Primex’s letters in the packet explain the distributions follow completion of the pool’s 2025 audit and that members will receive instructions in July on how to select refund or credit through the P3 portal. The board’s decision was noted in the executive director’s report with no further action required at the meeting.
