Council tables Ferrell’s Building and library agenda item indefinitely

Council President Francis moved to table indefinitely the agenda item relating to the old Ferrell’s Building and the public library, saying the presentation shown to council differed from what the library board had seen. The mayor seconded the motion and the council recorded that the motion carried.

“The presentation was different than what the library board has already seen,” Francis said; staff and legal counsel will meet with the library board to reconcile the materials before the item returns. Council did not take further action on the item at the work session and said the attorney would be present at the next meeting when the item is reconsidered.
