Council defers Seneca Timbers RV discussion to June after notice concerns

Mayor Brad Smith opened discussion of the Seneca Timbers RV agenda item May 9. Pete Walker said he had not seen that his business was on the agenda and asked for materials; councilors agreed to provide information and to discuss the item at the June 13 meeting.

Councilors and attendees discussed potential monthly fees that might be charged and operational concerns about water service, with Pete Walker noting an older valve at the property. Councilor Matt Wenick said work with the property owners could include signing waivers, though Councilor Northington noted no such policy had been passed. Councilor Josh Walker cited the city's code stating that property owners are not to turn the water on or off; a $50 on/$50 off fee was referenced as the existing process cost.

No formal fee change or ordinance was adopted May 9; the topic was deferred to the June 13 meeting for fuller consideration and to share materials with Pete Walker ahead of that meeting.
