Long family files intent to buy Seneca Lot 101; no council action taken

Mayor Brad Smith opened the July 9 Seneca City Council meeting and the council took an open-floor packet addition from the Long Family. City Manager Raamin Burrell told the council the Longs had submitted an Intent to Purchase form showing interest in Lot 101, the parcel next to the vacated 2nd Street extension. The item was informational; the council was notified but was not asked to act.

Burrell reported that Mrs. Long had told staff the proposed business "would be complementary to the Grandma's Truck N' Kitchen food cart." Councilors asked what sort of business was planned, and Burrell acknowledged she had not asked the Long Family for that detail. The council discussed the process for selling city lots and preliminary questions about lot value, but no motion or commitment was made. The matter remains at the informational stage and would return to council if the Long Family pursues a formal sale or staff brings a disposition proposal.
