Seneca fire chief proposes billing for Iron Triangle fire costs totaling about $6,000

Fire Chief Mike Allen presented a cost analysis of response expenses from the recent Iron Triangle mill fire and said the figure came to "just over $6,000." He proposed the city consider billing for some of those costs because the mill fire is a recurring problem.

Councilors did not take formal action at the July 9 meeting on the cost-recovery proposal. The chief's presentation was framed as a request for the council to consider whether the city should pursue billing in future similar incidents.
