Resident says Nexus map delay risks locking Cheney into unwanted UGA outcomes

Resident Bonnie Maager told the council she came to correct what she called misleading statements by a council member about a TDCo co-housing project and to press the council for the map Nexus was instructed to produce for the comprehensive plan review.

Maager said Nexus was told to prepare a map showing land proposed to be added or removed for the UGA adjustment and that the consultant has not yet delivered it, causing confusion in growth-management meetings. “Time is getting short. Cheney needs a map that reflects its intentions, or it will be stuck with what Nexus has provided,” Maager said. She urged the council to ensure the city's planning intent is clearly documented before permit or comp-plan decisions proceed.
