Committee moves Reggie and Maude’s liquor-license transfer to full board

The Public Safety and Neighborhood Services Committee voted to direct the clerk to prepare a resolution finding that the issuance of a Type 48 on‑sale general public premises beer, wine and distilled spirits license for Out of Sight Productions LLC, doing business as Reggie and Maude’s at 456–460 Larkin Street, would serve the public convenience or necessity.

Officer Brandon Erickson, the San Francisco Police Department’s liaison to the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, told the committee the ABC PCN report listed zero letters of protest or support and recommended approval with four conditions, including limits on audible noise, compliance with any active Entertainment Commission permits, active monitoring to prevent loitering, and litter control adjacent to the premises. “They have applied for a type 48 license … There are 0 letters of protest and 0 letters of support,” Erickson said during his presentation.

Eric Ehler, an owner of Out of Sight Pizza and Out of Sight Productions LLC, told the committee the bar would expand an existing local business and provide a community gathering place. “We are just excited and thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to aid… the growth and positive enrichment of the downtown area,” Ehler said. Vice Chair Danny Sauter and Chair Matt Dorsey both recorded aye votes on the motion to forward the committee report to the full Board of Supervisors for consideration at the board’s July 28 meeting. No members of the public spoke on the item during the committee hearing.
