Committee endorses Tenderloin Museum’s nonprofit theater liquor-license application

The Public Safety and Neighborhood Services Committee voted to have the clerk prepare a resolution finding that issuance of a Type 64 nonprofit theater on‑sale license to Uptown Tenderloin Inc., doing business as the Tenderloin Museum at 835 Larkin Street, would serve the public convenience or necessity.

SFPD’s liaison to the ABC presented the PCN report, which showed zero letters of protest or support and recommended approval with four conditions limiting audible noise, requiring compliance with any issued Entertainment Commission permits, active monitoring to prevent loitering, and litter control. "They have applied for a type 64 license … There are 0 letters of protest, 0 letters of support," the liaison stated.

Chair Matt Dorsey and Vice Chair Danny Sauter recorded aye votes on the motion to forward the committee report to the full Board of Supervisors for the July 28 meeting. No public commenters spoke during the committee hearing.
