Human Services says some provider contracts were not renewed after fiscal review

Jolita Gatton, provider services administrator with Child and Adult Protective Services, told commissioners the department has reviewed providers and chose not to renew a couple of contracts this year as part of fiscal oversight and quality control.

"We did have a couple of contracts we chose not to renew this year," Gatton said, describing close work with the county finance team to align contracts with actual spending and service needs.

Gatton said the department evaluates providers for underutilization and performance and works to ensure that services are available to meet families’ needs. She emphasized that the department will continue to monitor outcomes and provider performance to maintain service quality while managing limited resources.
