Jackson County board certifies May 19 election results

The Jackson County Board certified the results of the May 19, 2026 elections during its May 22 meeting. Board Chairman Kevin Charles moved to certify the General Nonpartisan Election; the motion was seconded and passed 4-0. The board then certified the General Democratic Primary and the General Republican Primary in separate motions, each passing 4-0, and the board signed the certification documents.

Board members said the certifications followed a review of the election returns, numbered lists, recaps and the official summary report. Chair Kevin Charles led the review and motions; the board recorded unanimous votes on each certification.
