Councilor Cole outlines recent council actions, including $35M bond and $1M bike-park grant application

Councilor Cole briefed the board on several recent County Council actions and upcoming items. Highlights included a four-way stop installation at the North Road/Urban Street intersection, construction underway at the Foxtail Flat solar project, and council approval to apply for a $1,000,000 grant for the North Mesa Bike Park.

Cole also said council approved a public hearing outcome to advance a $35 million bond package intended to fund projects including Fire Station 4, the Manhattan Project dorm restoration, the North Mesa Bike Park Health Action Center and athletic court renovations. He noted charter-change work and an upcoming public conversation about expanded recycling and a potential plastic-bag ban.
