County Auditor Kathy Williams presented line-item transfers of $686,506 and budget amendments of $94,132 and asked the court to approve those adjustments. "I present line item transfers in the amount of $686,506 and budget amendments in the amount of $94,132 and ask for your approval?" Williams said.
Following recognition that payment-of-bills had been omitted from the posted agenda, the court recalled item 2, amended it to authorize payment of claims under general accounts, and voted to approve the amended item. Williams then reported the payment-of-claims amount: "I present payment of claims in the amount of $3,625,972.18." The court recorded approval for those payments.
On the financial reporting side, Williams presented the monthly unaudited financial report for June 2026 and the court voted to accept it. Separately, Judge Parrish announced and moved to accept the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the 10/1/25–9/30/26 fiscal period, noting the county was one of 16 Texas counties to receive the recognition; the court unanimously accepted the award.
The court’s actions formalize routine fiscal housekeeping ahead of the FY27 budget process; the auditor indicated documentation and detailed amounts will be provided to commissioners.
