Staff: Vertower records intact; liveatc outage affected noise metrics

Airport operations staff reported to the board that the Vertower monitoring equipment used for internal noise monitoring did not fail. "The Vertower equipment did not go down. This time it was liveatc.com," the airport representative said, explaining that the external public service outage affected some available data.

Staff said liveatc is an external, public-facing feed the airport does not control and that in the future the airport might host additional equipment internally once construction of the new administration building is finished. The briefing also reiterated that some flight activity (for example, touch-and-go operations early morning or after 10 p.m.) often falls outside the voluntary noise-abatement windows and therefore does not count as voluntary-compliant operations.
