Judicial Council staff report highlights IT recovery, dashboards and $7 billion stronger revenue picture

Administrative Director Shelley Curran updated the Council on several staff initiatives meant to support courts and court users. Among items she highlighted were a recent information-technology disaster-recovery exercise testing infrastructure and network services, redesigns of informational dashboards that surface data such as trends and projected workloads, and ongoing CARE Act site visits to Superior Courts in San Bernardino and Ventura Counties.

On the state's budget outlook, Curran said "Revenues continue to be strong for the state. Actual receipts are $7,000,000,000 over what was included in the governor's January budget." She told the Council staff now await the governor's May revision, expected on or before May 14, which will provide more clarity for judicial-branch budget proposals.
