Council approves conditional-use permit for Guzman automotive service center at 9465 Midland

The Overland City Council voted to grant a conditional-use permit to Marco Antonio Guzman Mahia to operate an automotive service center at 9465 Midland Boulevard in the R3 single-family residential zoning district. Planning staff recommended approval and council approved the permit following second reading; if codified the bill will become Ordinance 202633.

Planning staff (Jason) described the use and conditions: "Hours of operation are 8 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. Sunday through Saturday," and he noted limits on overnight parking: "one company vehicle and up to eight customer vehicles limited to behind the front building line." Those operational constraints were part of the terms the council approved.

The applicant appeared briefly after passage; council members welcomed the business. The council record showed the readings and roll call for the motion; no contested public comment on this permit occurred at the meeting.
