Veteran tells council a falling limb repeatedly damaged property, requests city help

During public comment a self-identified 100% service-connected veteran, who gave his name as Shem, described repeated large tree limbs falling from a tree not on his property and said the last incident caused damage that would be subject to a roughly $3,000 deductible. He said the problem has recurred four times and asked the city to help address the hazard.

The council acknowledged his comment; staff did not record a formal directive or scheduling decision during the meeting. The comment was entered into the record for follow-up by public-works or code-enforcement staff.
