Brentwood reminds voters of early voting window and new e-bike safety requirement for students

City Manager Gage reminded residents that early voting for the Aug. 6 federal and state primary and county general election continues through Aug. 1, with early voting available at the John P. Holt Brentwood Library Monday–Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. "More information is available on the Williamson County Election Commission website," Gage said.

Gage also announced a new safety requirement tied to student travel: "Beginning this school year, students who wanna ride e bikes to Williamson County Schools will have to first complete a safety course," he said, describing a roughly one-hour class taught by a school teacher with assistance from the school resource officer and noting that both the student and a parent or guardian must attend before the student rides to campus. Gage said the requirement is a collaborative effort with the school district, local law enforcement and neighboring municipalities and added that the city has been sharing e-bike safety tips on social media.
