Marshal details coordination with public works on traffic surveys and event safety

Eric Leet described routine collaboration with village hall and the public works department on traffic and safety matters. "I communicate on a, more than weekly basis with, our director of public works, about such things as, traffic signage, speed signage, safety concerns," he said, and added that traffic surveys have been performed for the village.

Leet said community events are routed through the marshal's office to identify safety or assistance needs so staff can plan lane closures, road closures or staffing needs as appropriate. He portrayed this coordination as one of the strengths of a tight-knit village.
