ROSS grant ends; participants transitioned into Family Self‑Sufficiency program

Commissioner Hank Hughes asked whether the ROSS program would continue; Alicia confirmed the ROSS grant ended on May 31, 2026 and the authority did not receive the new grant. "So in other words, we're not continuing the program, right?" Hughes asked; Alicia responded, "Correct."

Staff explained that participants in the ROSS program transferred into the Family Self‑Sufficiency (FSS) program so they will continue to receive services. Jonathan and other staff said the end of the grant is an opportunity to evaluate which program elements are mission-critical and to consider local funding or "ROSS Light" options to preserve services that serve residents' needs.
