Stadium lights, Buckeye construction and Parkside chiller among buildings‑and‑grounds updates

The buildings and grounds update detailed multiple capital and maintenance items ahead of the school year. The stadium light poles have been removed and installation is scheduled for the first week of August (crane work tentatively Aug. 4; Aug. 5 if it rains). The Buckeye site has fencing and site prep complete, modular units removed, kitchen and gym abatement finished, and flooring scheduled to start; administration said furnishing the renovated spaces is estimated at about $500,000 and will be funded from project closeout (PI/COPS) funds.

Operations staff reported that line striping and parking lot repairs are complete across schools, CTX walkway work is curing, and annual fire‑alarm and extinguisher testing is done. The Parkside chiller has an internal leak and repair cost is recommended at "a little bit over $15,500." Transportation staff will also run a ridership survey to improve morning routing efficiency and potentially reduce costs by consolidating underutilized routes.
