The Board approved petition 26‑09 on July 23, allowing Frank Nowinski to install a 6‑foot vinyl fence where the town code limits fences adjacent to right‑of‑way to 4 feet 6 inches.
Attorney/representative Greg Babcock and Mr. Nowinski described the site and said they had measured sight lines near the Boys & Girls Club driveway and proposed gates to allow maintenance access. Babcock told the board he had Duneland Group place survey stakes and recommended the submitted GIS drawing and legend be attached so the building department can verify the fence location. Board members asked about visibility for buses and heavy vehicle movements; Babcock said the bus elevation and the 10‑foot plus sidewalk would preserve sight lines. A board member moved that the sketch be attached as an exhibit and to approve the variance; the motion carried on roll call.
Babcock said the family planned to invest approximately $10,000 in the fence and asked the board to “please feel free to attach that drawing so it gives the building department knowledge, and it's measurable.” The board approved the variance with the sketch and survey to be used as the permit reference.
