Police and public‑works updates: hydrant markers ordered, water‑plant generator repaired

Police Chief Dustin Sharkey’s department report was reviewed and placed on file; the report listed routine calls including traffic citations, warnings, suspicious vehicle and animal calls. Chief Sharkey told the council the water plant generator "gelled up" because it had been filled with summer fuel and that he repaired it; the generator will be filled with #1 fuel going forward.

Street Department work included snow removal and removal of Christmas lights. Council instructed SS Sharkey to choose and order flags or markers for approximately 35 fire hydrants in town. Chief Sharkey also reported he will attend Wastewater Collection Class and testing Feb. 6–8. These routine operations and equipment‑maintenance items were recorded for follow-up but did not require council votes.
