Dalton awaits highway truck approval and transfer‑station grant; delivery likely next year

Members reported the highway department truck application was approved to proceed and will next require review and approval by the executive council and the governor before funds can be spent. Board members noted the town must place the order after approval and estimated delivery of the truck "summer to fall of next year" if manufacturing and scheduling align.

The transfer station committee will meet next week to consider Brian Patnow’s report and related recommendations. The board also discussed ongoing work to prepare FEMA reimbursement invoices for repair and mitigation work done this summer.
