Small Otter Creek Natural Resources request removed from town budget after missed deadline

Julie Ireland told the board that Otter Creek Natural Resources (Middlebury) did not submit the requested documentation for a funding request despite repeated outreach, and because the request is past its deadline it will be removed from the draft budget. Ireland said the amount in question is nominal—"it's, like, a $113.80 or something"—and that the organization would need to file a petition to be placed back on the warning.

Members agreed that repeated attempts to obtain the documentation justified removing the small appropriation, and noted the organization could return through the petition process if it still seeks town funding.
