Harney County discusses signature logistics for proclamation, then adjourns emergency session

After voting to adopt the proclamation, members discussed how to record signatures on the proclamation. The Chair asked about adding a digital signature to the document after wet signatures were added; a Commissioner offered to send an email confirming their support and said, "I can do that if you want."

The Chair said the county will use the email confirmation process it had used previously if needed and that emergency management would up-channel the proclamation through state and federal systems. With those items addressed, the Chair adjourned the emergency session at 1:14 p.m.
