Council introduces ordinances and approves grant-related resolutions; $1M EDA film incentive referenced

Council introduced multiple ordinances for later public hearing and final passage on Aug. 12, including an amendment to bond ordinance O22‑10 (decreasing an appropriation by $250,000 to a total of $17,825,000), a capital‑ordinance amendment to O25‑25 (decreasing appropriations by $187,320 for Hudson River Walkway work, total appropriation $3,312,680), and a redevelopment amendment for Bayonne Harbor Station North (Block 660.01, Lot 1). The council also moved and adopted routine communications, officers' reports, and consent resolutions (C1–C24; CR1–CR12).

Council authorized execution of an MOU with the New Jersey Economic Development Authority to participate in a film‑industry municipal infrastructure program; the business administrator said the city may apply for approximately $1,000,000 in grant funds tied to 1888 Studios and related improvements. The council also approved submission of an NJDOT grant application for 2027 roadway improvements (paving and handicap ramps) because of an application deadline.
