A district presenter outlined a proposed superintendent-evaluation framework that uses a scorecard, interim metrics and a quarterly monitoring cadence to inform the superintendent's summative evaluation. "The objective of that scorecard is to make sure that we remain focused not only on our end goals... but also our interim goals," the presenter said, and recommended October 15 as the baseline monitoring date, followed by quarterly checkpoints in February, May and July.
Trustees asked whether student outcomes should receive heavier weight and debated how board visits ("boardwalks") would be aligned with the scorecard. After discussion, a trustee moved adoption and the board approved the 2026-27 superintendent evaluation instrument as presented, 6-0. The board also agreed to use the boardwalks and quarterly cadence to inform the evaluation and requested follow-up materials to show how monitoring will connect to evaluation metrics.
