Appeals Board approves June minutes, records routine administrative actions

The California Occupational Safety and Health Appeals Board opened its July 8, 2026 meeting remotely via Zoom and voted to approve the minutes of the June 17, 2026 meeting. Marvin Kropke moved to approve the minutes and Judith Freyman seconded; the recorded vote was 3-0.

Executive Officer Scott Pease provided staffing updates, reporting that the Analyst I recruitment has closed, a candidate has been selected for an Administrative Law Judge position pending HR approval, and the Analyst II posting closes the following day. The Board also recorded remote participation notices under Government Code sections 11123.5 and 11123.2 for members Marvin P. Kropke and Judith Freyman. The meeting returned from closed session at 11:09 a.m., incorporated closed-session actions by reference, and adjourned at 11:10 a.m.
