Special board meeting moves into executive session to discuss two intergovernmental agreements

At 6:01 p.m. the chair called a special board meeting to order and moved that the board convene an executive session "pursuant to ARS 30 eight-431.03A subsection A3 and 4" to obtain legal advice and consider positions regarding contracts that are the subject of negotiation or litigation, naming the satellite intergovernmental agreement and the Central Campus Program IGA.

"That is the EVID Satellite Intergovernmental Agreement, IGA, and the Central Campus Program's IGA," the chair said when introducing the motion. The motion was seconded and the board voted to enter executive session.

The public transcript records only the motion and the board's vote to go into executive session; no substantive deliberations from the closed session appear in the public record. The board returned to open session and later took two public actions related to those agreements: tabling consideration of the satellite IGA and approving the Central Campus Program IGA subject to there being no further changes to the documents as provided.
