Homestead CRA grant funds roof, garage repairs for local homeowner

At the March 18 meeting a resident who said they had received a Homestead Community Redevelopment Agency residential grant described home repairs paid for through the program.

The resident said the grant funded a new roof and a replacement garage door, which they described as previously unsafe, and thanked a staff member named Malika for assistance with the program. City staff on the dais provided information for others interested in the residential façade program, directing residents to contact the Homestead CRA at CRAgrants@homesteadfl.gov or (305) 224-4486 for more information.

The comment served as public acknowledgment of a completed CRA-supported improvement and was delivered during the meeting's promotional/community updates portion rather than as a formal agenda action.
