Council approves pass-through water/wastewater agreements with Vista Oaks MUD and Williamson County

Public works staff explained three related agreements enabling Round Rock to provide water and wastewater service that rely on or pass through Vista Oaks Municipal Utility District infrastructure. For the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park (G5) the park was assigned 52 living unit equivalents (LUEs); Vista Oaks charges $3.75 per LUE, so the county’s payment to Vista Oaks is about $2,340 per year and Round Rock will handle the rest of service delivery.

For Gardens at Mayfield Ranch (G6), a subdivision inside the city limits with 135 homes, the city will pay for 135 LUEs at $3.75 per LUE (approximately $6,075 per year) to use Vista Oaks’ interceptor and lift station under a 25‑year term. G7 is a 20‑year agreement for retail water and wastewater service to the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park; staff said the park will be charged retail rates despite being outside the city limits. Council moved and unanimously approved all three resolutions.
