Historic-district panel approves 12-panel rooftop solar at 27 Farm Hill Road

The Old Kings Highway Regional Historic District Committee unanimously approved installation of 12 black solar panels on the rear dormer of Glenn Ormond’s house at 27 Farm Hill Road. Michael Tangi, of e2 Solar, told the committee the panels would be mounted flush to the roof and said, “we're hoping to get approval to install 12 solar panels on the rear of the house.”

Committee members said they had reviewed the application and visited the site; James Pazakis moved to approve the application as presented and a second was recorded, after which the committee voted in favor. The chair noted that, once approved, the applicant may request a building permit and that approved plans cannot be changed without written permission from the board.
