Canton approves willow replacements and a dedication at Armory and 225 Park

Town Manager Stinnett presented a notice to proceed for work at the Armory and 225 Park and reported that willow trees planted by the Hardin family need replacement; the Hardin granddaughter and Haywood Waterways offered to fund new trees. Alderwoman Proctor moved to approve replacing the trees and Alderwoman Mull seconded; the motion carried.

Board members discussed involving the Hardin family in planting and installing a plaque recognizing original families, including the Hardins and Claude Jennings. Manager Stinnett thanked staff for recent events and noted personnel scheduling matters; the Board asked staff to follow up on the planting plan and dedication wording.
