Residents ask Washington County to repair cracked steps at veterans memorial

Andrew Bush and John Quatroke presented photos to county commissioners showing large cracks in the steps at the Washington County veterans memorial and urged the county to repair them for safety reasons. The presenters said the steps needed leveling and that the damage posed a safety hazard to visitors.

Commissioner Todd Ewen responded that the county would obtain repair quotes and would take care of the expenses to remedy the safety issue. The request will proceed through the county's normal procurement and contracting procedures to obtain quotes and schedule work.
