Trustees discuss sewer‑drain enforcement, dog‑park fundraiser and DRI administration

During trustee updates the board reviewed several operational and community items. Trustee Peter Grasse said he met with the code enforcement officer and the STP operator about sewer drain violations and noted a demolition checklist and a forthcoming DPW laborer hire. Trustee Thomas Boomhower said he contacted NYCOM about special-election procedures and asked the attorney for clarification; Boomhower said a full board could be helpful and requested the matter be revisited at the next meeting.

Trustee Jamie Hyer-Mitchell described plans for a dog-park pathway fundraiser and said she would seek additional quotes for the work; she also said the village has a July 13 meeting with the Humane Society to discuss animal-surrender protocol. President Natasha Law said the fire department is seeking five hours per week of data-entry support and asked for board support to hire Sophie Henderson to administer the DRI grant; she also raised a question about replacement of docks at the sewer plant. Public commenters raised a procedural question about special elections and repeated a local dumpster complaint.
