Staff to present options for City Hall annex and 17 South Elm at Monday's special meeting

City staff told commissioners the city would present three informational items at the July 27 special meeting: an overview of the City Hall annex building with recommendations, options for the 17 South Elm site and a beachfront circulation concept. "We brought this forward to just provide you with an overview of what's being done or what's scheduled to be done at the City Hall Annex Building," staff said.

Staff emphasized the session was a conversation starter to gather public input and commission direction, not a request for immediate action. The item on 17 South Elm will include possible uses and financing options and the beach circulation concept will include tenant input and a discussion of service flow and valet considerations. Commissioners asked that staff provide sufficient background materials for the Monday meeting and indicated they would want to see any recommended funding approaches and community engagement plans before making commitments.
