Resident urges action on absentee landlords, sewer backups and boardwalk enforcement

During the public-comment portion of the July 8 meeting, resident Margaret Clark of 328 E. Glenwood Avenue raised multiple neighborhood concerns. Clark said "nobody is there to clean up the properties or to take out the trash cans and bring them back" when landlords are absent, and that a recent sewer backup was hard to report because "it took awhile to get ahold of someone because the calls go to the county." She also asked about tree trimming, boardwalk curfew enforcement, electric bikes and dogs on the boardwalk, and requested stop signs with lights to address wrong-way driving on local streets.

Mayor Ernest Troiano, Jr. responded on the record by directing Clark to contact Public Works directly or to contact him or any of the commissioners if problems persist; he also noted that electric bikes must be registered as of July 19.
