Board backs text amendment to Comprehensive Plan for Miracle Mile corridor

The Planning and Zoning Board voted 4-0 on July 16 to recommend approval of a text amendment to Objective 10 of the Comprehensive Plan (C24-000003-CLP-TXT) to implement Miracle Mile Corridor policies. Staff reviewed findings and said the amendment is a companion to the Future Land Use Map amendment for 2300 5th Avenue; the applicant representative described the text change as a foundational piece for the larger project.

"We do not have a presentation for this item. It is simply a companion piece to the Future Land Use Map Amendment," said Rebecca Grohall, who represented the applicant team. The board offered no public comment and approved the motion to recommend the text amendment be adopted by City Council.

The action moves policy language forward to City Council; implementation of Miracle Mile standards and site-specific design will be addressed through later rezoning and site-plan approvals.
