Board recommends amendment to transportation and capital improvements schedule

The Planning and Zoning Board voted unanimously on July 16 to recommend City Council approve an ordinance amending the Comprehensive Plan Transportation Element and the Capital Improvements Element's schedule. Staff presented the proposed updates and the board took no public comment before making the recommendation.

Principal Planner Cheri Fitzgerald reviewed the staff report and findings for the board. Planning Director Jason Jeffries noted that a couple of site plans may be ready for the August 6 meeting and that staff would have more information next week. Ms. Santamarina moved to recommend approval; Mr. Kennedy seconded and the motion passed 4-0.

The board's action forwards the ordinance language to City Council; any budget or project timing adjustments will be finalized through Council adoption and subsequent implementation steps.
