The Cheverly Planning Board summarized its submission to the county's Port Towns preliminary sector plan and asked the mayor and council to forward the comments. Planning Board liaison Councilmember Tansey said the board wants the county plan to include the Cheverly–Bladensburg shared-use path (which is funded and in design) and to treat Route 450 as a mixed-use boulevard extending appropriately across adjacent map edges.
The board also recommended traffic-impact analysis for major intersections referenced in the plan and urged coordination where the county map's boundary meets Cheverly's sector plan so design recommendations do not abruptly shift at the town edge. Council members responded positively and asked that the town send the planning board's submission to neighboring municipalities and civic associations so regional partners see the comments prior to adoption.
