Council to march and judge at Cheverly Day; considers hosting a movie night during Cheverly Week

The mayor and council discussed participation in the upcoming Cheverly Day celebration and agreed to march at the head of the parade and serve as parade judges. Council members discussed practical logistics — reviewing stands, bleachers and timing for the parade lineup (9:30 a.m. lineup with a 10:00 a.m. kickoff and noon on-site activities) — and noted outreach efforts to ensure participation at apartment complexes and Spanish-speaking residents. The council volunteered to coordinate modest support, and staff said the committee will email the detailed schedule to council members.
