Commission weighs participation in Community Service Day; White Pony Express currently offering five volunteer slots

The commission reviewed Community Service Day opportunities for Sept. 19 and discussed partnering with White Pony Express, which initially listed five volunteer spots. Committee member (S4) told the commission "they only have 5 5 slots... available for their volunteer event," and members debated whether to request more slots or allow commissioners to sign up individually.

Given typical schedules and prior commitments, commissioners agreed to poll their availability before pursuing an expanded slot list from the nonprofit. Clerk (S2) and other members noted a range of potential projects and suggested that even small participation (a few hours) would be acceptable for busy commissioners.
