Trustees approved multiple contracts and amendments July 23 that district staff said are intended to support upcoming modernizations, staffing coverage and student-communication services for the 2026-27 school year.
Facilities staff recommended awarding a relocation-services agreement to Managed Facility Solutions for the Alcorn Village modernization project at a contract value of $78,172.70 to be paid from the Measure Z fund. "Administration recommends approval of the agreement with Managed Facility Solutions for the Alcorn Village modernization for $78,172.70 paid out of the Measure Z Fund," a facilities presenter said.
The board also approved a renewal with Emergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc. to provide licensed vocational nurse services districtwide and a paraeducator with ASL fluency. Staff requested and the board approved an amendment to the SchoolStatus contract to add an automated absent-student communication feature at a cost of $4,060.68, bringing that contract to $120,460.68 paid from the student services budget. The board approved renewal agreements with Northern California Construction Training (NCCT) to continue construction-pathway support and renewed a vendor agreement with the Yolo Food Bank to provide services to three community schools.
Trustees asked for usage data on food-bank services and suggested including recipe or menu information in distributed food boxes to help families make use of unfamiliar items; staff said data had been provided and would be made more visible. All listed contract actions were approved by roll-call vote.
